Thank you again to everyone who kindly sent advice for the Blogger glitches that seem to be haunting this little corner of deepest, darkest Devon and for all the good wishes over my health. I am on the mend...yay!

In good old folk tradition, an odd chap, a bird fortelling a future where he kills his truelove, chap kills bird. It's an illusion and he has killed his truelove....oops.
Wuthering Heights – Kate Bush
Innovative and slightly bonkers. Stands the test of time.
Love your list! Particularly love that Billy Joel song and Buble has become a recent fave of mine too.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is definitely one of the best albums ever made. I wore out the cassette tape listening to it in my younger days. Yes, I said cassette tape.

ReplyDeleteNice list. Fleetwood Mac could easily have had a song or two on my list. I was saddened when Christine McVie left to do her own thing. I though her presence was greatly missed on their later ventures.

I'm so chuffed to see Wuthering Heights and the second mention of Kate Bush. I thought everyone had forgotten her. She's not on my list but I would have loved to squeeze her in. I couldn't resist putting ABBA on - who can not say they knew how to put a song together??!!

Intros are so important to songs - I rejected several songs with slow starts ;) I'm supposed to love Elton John, being from Watford. You have a broad range of musical selections.

ReplyDeleteHello, Margo. One of the cool things is finding a tune on these lists that stops you. I think you have been the first to mention Rainbow that I have seen! Very cool. I loved the Elton John mention, "Dreams" by Fleetwoon Mac is awesome, and so is Buble. Not only is "The Stranger" a great song, but that is also one of the all-time great albums. The whole thing is good, start to finish. Can't say that about too many.
